Home & Away: An All-Access Ride Along!

Peticolas Brewing and Irving Archives and Museum have teamed up to host this World Cup inspired, all-access event that promises to thrill sports enthusiasts, museum nerds and history buffs alike! Attendees enjoy an all-access, ride-along experience featuring two sports photography exhibitions, each showcasing the work of internationally-acclaimed sports photographers.

On View at Peticolas Brewing
Through the duration of the World Cup, Peticolas is hosting a photography exhibition featuring internationally-acclaimed Brazilian sports photographer Marcelo Guelber Goes. More than 35 photographs from football matches and cultures around the world now cover the walls of the brewery so you can get lost in the beautiful game while drinking your beverage of choice. A massive exterior installation features Marcelo’s iconic “Ronaldo in the Rain,” which was awarded “the best football (soccer) photo” at the World Sports Photography Awards.

On View at Irving Archives and Museum
The Perfect Shot: Walter Iooss Jr., and the Art of Sports Photography is on view at the Irving Archives and Museum (IAM) through August 11, 2026 and features the work of one the most renowned and influential sports photographers of all time, Walter Iooss Jr. He is perhaps most famous for his work for Sports Illustrated (300+ covers). Many of the all-time greats, notably Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, and Serena Williams, gave him unprecedented access into their personal lives. Included in the collection are some amazing shots of Pelé and Christiano Ronaldo (not in the rain). Other exhibitions available for viewing are The Irving Story the museum’s permanent exhibition that brings Irving’s history to life from its frontier days through its development into the modern and diverse city that it is today; and Tom Landy: A Life in Football which features images and artifacts from the career of one of the most storied coaches of the other kind of football.
